Storytelling is a tradition in all cultures, first as oral and pictorial such as cave paintings. Our group was formed because we all wanted to continue that tradition by using quilts to present visual stories.
Our first challenge was to explore stories about “Cities.” Without timelines (or deadlines), we will add our visual stories, each exploring new visions of cities.
Our 2019 challenge was to design stories about "Architecture."
Our challenge of "Seeing Red" presented many interpretations. Each of us created a "Red Tree" within this challenge.
Our next challenge was "Name That Tune." Lots of opportunities for creative ideas here. We challenged ourselves to each include a piece inspired by a Beatles' song.
The "Water Works" exhibit is a creative collection of unique techniques.
Our most recent challenge was to create 30" x 30" monochromatic pieces, each in a different color on the color wheel. We complemented these pieces by each creating an achromatic black, white, and gray quilt.
