Mary Kay Price - Emeritus

After graduating with an Art Degree from OSU, I had a 28 year hiatus as a food manufacturer.  In 1999, my husband and I left our home in the northwest and moved to Pennsylvania.  Where, having survived Y2K, I fell in with a band of quilters.  My quilting began with straight lines, formal blocks, and a lot of rules and evolved into a rhythmic, expressive medium.

Having loved fabric, sewing, and art my whole life makes quilting intoxicating for me.  The limitations of piece size makes fiber art most effective for abstract, impressionistic, and modernistic works.

I love the tactile, relatable nature of fibers.  We all have opinions and bring other experiences to our viewings.

And, yes, we are happy back home in Oregon.
