Part of the Garden Lady series, this quilt was based on the cover of a Neiman Marcus catalog from 2003. It has several layers of organza and a "chop and drop" dress with antique trimmings. The leaves and flowers were created from sketchbook drawings with two layers of fabric and decorative threads. Hot fix crystals add a little bit of sparkle. In the collection of a private owner.

Part of the Garden Lady series, this quilt was based on a watercolor painting by artist Lois Dahl. I took photos of a friend to use for the face and photos of flowers in my garden to use in this quilt. It has embroidered details of ladybugs, bees, caterpillars, and snails. The jacket was made with my "chop and drop" method. It includes hand dyed fabric, angelina fibers, embroidery threads, and antique trimmings. In the collection of a private owner.

25" W x 30" H
Using mostly recycled materials, this quilt was created for a challenge using green colors. I based the quilt on several pictures taken while hiking in the Pacific Northwest on foggy mornings. Recycled materials include painted color catchers, bison hair, goat fleece, antique trimmings, and handmade moss.
